Tom Trousdale Scholarship (2000)
Tom Trousdale of Bismarck, ND and a 1971 alumnus of Valley City State has established a scholarship intended for upperclassmen. The recipient must carry a minimum of a 3.00 GPA, be a full-time student and take a personal interest in helping others develop their full potential. One scholarship up to $800 will be awarded annually. Trousdale graduated in 1971 with a history major and a minor in speech. Since graduation, Trousdale taught school in Mandan and Hettinger, ND, prior to joining Capital Electric in Bismarck in 1978 as a Public Relations/Energy Advisor specialist. He retired in 1988 and spends his time as a freelance writer and photographer for a number of different entities.
