John P. Windish, Jr. Memorial Scholarship (2002)
A scholarship in the amount of up to $1000 per year will be awarded to an upper class student who demonstrates financial need and academic promise. The applicant must have a cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.00 or higher. Preference will be given to junior or senior students from the Barnes County area. The scholarship was established by Kadrmas, Lee & Jackson, a North Dakota Engineering firm with offices in Valley City, and the Windish family. John Windish was a lifelong resident of Barnes County, a man of integrity and high ethical standards, who worked for nearly 50 years with the Barnes County Highway Department
