VCSU Projects Based on VCSU Abilities and Skills

Each course at VCSU should contain at least one Ability project. The Ability for a course is directed by the VCSU Catalog pages 39-41 if it is a General Education course and by the Divisional program maps if the course included in a Major or Minor. The Ability Project description should be included in the course syllabus or maybe a separate document for larger projects. Projects are cross walked between the course content and the selected Ability. The syllabus Description should include:

Ability
Skill
Level
Rubric for successful completion of project
A reflective statement should be required as part of the project completion

The completed project as provided to the instructor by the student should include:

Name of Ability
Name of skill
Reflective statement on the students learning experience with the project. Reflections may be written, audio, or video.
