About SNDEA

The Student North Dakota Education Association (SNDEA) is affiliated with the North Dakota Education Association (NDEA). It is the first opportunity pre-service students get to have an active voice in a professional organization. SNDEA is designed and governed by student representatives from college campuses that offer careers in education within the state of North Dakota. Its purpose is to give prospective educators an understanding of the education profession, to allow students to have a voice in matters affecting the teaching profession, and to advance interests of students preparing for a career in education.

Each college campus has its own student chapter with a campus advisor, elects its own officers and manages its own program. The state SNDEA affiliate holds a representative assembly in October to elect statewide officers and set the direction for the state program. Each campus selects two members to represent their interests at the state SNDEA Board of Directors' meetings.
