Safety Tip of the Week
The Exercise/Feel-Good Connection
Exercise can have the same effect on your brain as an anit-depressant. It affects the chemicals that ward off anxiety and depression. The key is to make sure your workout routine includes cardio that elevates your heart rate for at least 20 minutes, several time a week.
Get Moving!
A workout is one of the most helpful tools to ward of stress, depression and other illness. Exercise also improves sleep, memory, focus and concentration. Check out VCSU's fitness rooms in Graichen Gym or join intramurals team. You can stay fit and meet new people at the same time!
Safety Booklet
Each student is provided with a quick reference booklet in their dorm rooms. The information contained in the booklet is condensed to the basics that student will need to know. For thorough information, please explore this site.
The 'Student Safety Booklet' is also available on the students' laptops under the start menu, as well as printed copies available in the Student Center, the office of the Vice President for Student Affairs, Enrollment Services Office and at each RA desk in the residence halls.
