Emergency Notification System

VCSU uses NotiFind as a mass communication tool, and it is part of the emergency notification system. The campus uses several tools including NotiFind, fire alarm systems, email lists, and more in an emergency.

In the fall of 2012, the North Dakota Student Association (NDSA) approved revising the Emergency Notification Policy to mandate student participation in NotiFind, the emergency notification system. NDSA revised the policy after a bomb threat at NDSU and a lower than expected participation in the system. In the spring of 2013, the State Board of Higher Education passed the revised policy changing student participation from opt-in to mandatory.
**All student employees are mandated to participate in the system.**
