SHRM: The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is the world's largest association devoted to human resource management. Representing over 250,000 members in over 140 countries, the Society serves the needs of HR professionals and advances in interests of the HR profession. Founded in 1948, SHRM has more the 575 affiliated chapters within the United Stated (including the Fargo-Moorhead Human Resource Association (FM-HRA), and subsidiary offices in China and India. Student member programs: SHRM's Student Program was created in 1965. Its purpose is to promote interaction between HR practitioners and HR students. The program now includes over 450 affiliated chapters and more that 15,000 student members.
