Faculty members showcase their favorite assignments, assessments, pedagogical methods, and technology via a poster session in the Faculty Scholar Symposium, held the last Tuesday of the Fall Semester. Distinguished wandering scholars from within (and sometimes without) VCSU visit with the faculty. This Symposium is open to the public. Awards are also presented.

Proposals for the 2014 Faculty Scholar Symposium to be held on Wednesday December 10th from 11:00a.m.-1:00p.m. in the Student Center Skoal Room are now being accepted! Focused on the Keys to Learner Centered Teaching, the Symposium is intended to provide faculty and staff a venue in which to showcase learner engagement through course activities and experiences.

Symposium Vision: Any teaching strategy, approach, technique, or tool that is used, or used in a new way, to produce quantifiable gain for learner outcomes or the learner experience, and can widely implemented at VCSU.

Please email Julee Russell by Monday, November 24, 2014 (5:00p.m.) if you are interested in participating. The submission form will be sent to you at that time with a due date of Monday December 1, 2014 (5:00p.m.).
