The Design Team has the following programs that are available to faculty:
Come to the Instructional Design Resource Center the first and third Wednesdays of the month at noon for a topic to be discussed. Topic/s that will be discussed during the hour will be sent out the week prior to the event. Remember, you can bring your lunch (there’s a microwave in the adjoining office space) and coffee, water and soda will be provided.
Come to the Instructional Design Resource Center the second and fourth Wednesday of the moth at 3PM for a technology training. Technology tools or topic that will be discussed during the hour will be sent out the week prior to the event. Coffee, water, and soda will be provided.
Funded by the Student Senate, faculty, and students can apply for mini-grants for programs, apps, and technology to use in the classroom. Faculty share their findings from their grant at a Lunch and Learn, Tech Talk, or Faculty Symposium event. Please watch for emails concerning mini-grant opportunities.
Each year the design team puts on a faculty symposium that highlights faculty member’s research, projects, and achievements through a poster session. Faculty members are invited through an email application process. Participants have the opportunity to interact with faculty, staff, administration, and students who attend. Judging off the poster sessions will take place during the event and 1st and 2nd place along with viewer’s choice awards will be given out.
