Academic Publications Conference
Valley City State University is pleased to host the Academic Publications Conference on April 12-13, 2019. This conference will be hosting several panel presentations where editors and writers will discuss aspects of the publication process, including the selection of work, editing, layout, and design. The conference will also host creative readings and presentations at our open mic event open for all participants.
All panels and presentations will be held on the third floor of McCarthy on the VCSU campus. Meals and the open mic event will be hosted in the Student Center on campus.
Lunch and Dinner will be provided on Friday the 12th, Lunch will be offered on Saturday the 13th, and refreshments and snacks will be available throughout the conference.
On Friday, April 12th, there will be a keynote reading by Larry Woiwode, Poet Laureate of North Dakota, followed by a reception dinner.
The $15.00 individual registration fee will include the cost of lunch and dinner on Friday, April 12, and refreshments on April 12 and 13. The conference will take place at VCSU’s McFarland Hall, from 9:00-4:00 on April 12, followed by dinner, an open mic, and a reading by Larry Woiwode—and from 9:00-12:00 Saturday, April 13.
Participants who plan to stay overnight in Valley City can contact the AmericInn for a special conference rate by March 29:

the name of your publication
the name(s) and titles of each individual presenting
and dietary requests for the dinner on April 12.
Each room will have laptop hookups for projection, but let me know if you need additional a/v requirements. We look forward to seeing any digital publications.
