Valley City State University student Garrett Anderson will direct Roald Dahl’s James and the Giant Peach as his senior project.

James and the Giant Peach runs Thursday through Saturday, Feb. 13–15, in Theatre 320 in McFarland Hall, with performances at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, along with a 2:00 p.m. matinee Saturday.

“Our theatre minors are offered a senior project opportunity which bridges their course work with their intended professional goals,” says Jenni Lou Russi, director of theatre at VCSU. “This is a unique experience we can provide as a small program.”

A veteran performer with VCSU Theatre, Anderson hails from West Fargo, N.D. He most recently performed as Baloo in The Jungle Book last semester.

Taylor Crosby is stage manager for the production. Zack Hoover plays James in the cast, rounded out by fellow VCSU students Joshua Bartels, Monika Browne, Jermaine Erby and Hannah-Ruth Patterson, joined by local residents Ashley Tahran and Jada Zahn.

Tickets are available online at www.vcsu.edu/academics/divisions/cass/theatre/vp.htm?p=2474, at the campus bookstore in the VCSU Student Center or by calling the VCSU Theatre Box Office at 701-845-7320.

Prices are $10 for adults and $5 for seniors, with all students and children admitted free of charge.
