A total of 49 Valley City State University student-athletes have been honored as North Star Athletic Association Academic Scholar-Athletes for the 2014 spring academic season.

The honor was announced last week by the NSAA commissioner's office. In order to be eligible for the NSAA Academic Scholar-Athlete award, a student-athlete must have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale. The spring selections included athletes from basketball, track and field, softball, baseball, golf and wrestling.
