Blair, NE - The Valley City State University baseball team dropped a pair of games to two-time defending GPAC champion Dana College (NE) on Saturday before splitting a double header with Midland Lutheran College on Sunday.

VCSU used a three run fourth inning and a two run fifth to give the Vikings and starter Kory Foss a 7-2 leading heading into the seventh.

Foss, after giving up two runs in the first inning settled down to pitch five shutout innings before walking and hitting the first two batters he faced in the seventh. With two outs, Dana scored the tying run on an error that would have ended the game.
