The VCSU Student Senate announced today that Assistant Professor Dan McRoberts was elected the "Teacher of the Year" for 2005.
Dan McRoberts stays very busy with his teaching duties in the Communication Arts Department and still finds time to get involved with the community and campus. Some of his many contributions include serving as VCSU's Faculty Bush Grant Director and assisting with high school play and speech tournaments. He also represents VCSU at the North Dakota Speech and Theatre Association and as a reviewer for the National Communication Association annual conference. On top of everything else, he is nearing completion of a Doctorate degree in Communication at NDSU.
The Teacher of the Year Award is given annually to a professor who shows dedication to the students of VCSU through innovative teaching methods and continued professional development both inside and outside of the classroom. Professors are nominated by a member of the student body and the winner is elected by the Student Senate.
Once again, congratulations to the 2005 Teacher of the Year, Dan McRoberts! Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication!
