Andre DeLorme, Associate Professor of Science at Valley City State University, was elected President of the North Dakota Academy of Science. The election was held in conjunction with the group’s annual meeting held April 28 – 29 at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, ND.
The North Dakota Academy of Science is an association of scientists, scholars, and students with the purpose of promoting and conducting scientific research and diffusing scientific knowledge. Said DeLorme, "One of the things I like best about the Academy is that it gives students an avenue to present their work at the annual meeting." As President, DeLorme’s responsibilities will include organizing the group’s next annual meeting which will be held on the VCSU campus tentatively scheduled for April 28 and 29, 2006.
