VALLEY CITY, ND -- Midland Lutheran was finally going to get a chance to play this spring. Valley City State was going to get the chance to play again a week after opening up with two wins at the Metrodome. Old Man Winter had other plans.

A three inch snowfall on Wednesday and a subsequent cold streak will prevent the Vikings and Warriors from squaring off this weekend in Fremont, NE. The two teams were originally set to play a double header on Saturday and Sunday. Midland had already lost eight games to the extended winter in the region.

Valley City State will travel to play in the Falcon Roundup at Friends University in Wichita, KS next weekend. The Vikings are scheduled to play doubleheaders on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
