Pensacola, FL – Valley City State scored nine runs in the first four innings and then held on to defeat Fisher College of Massachusetts 9-7 in college baseball at the RussMat Invitational Tournament in Pensacola, FL.

Bryce Ingram, Reid Arnold and Chauncey Calhoun each had two hits to pace the Vikings early offensive attack. Arnold accounted for 3 runs batted in and Ingram two while Calhoun had two stolen bases and a double.

Wylie Wisnewski pitched three and two-thirds innings of scoreless relief of starter Kory Foss to get the victory. Nathan Erbstoesser threw a perfect ninth inning for his first save of the season.

The Vikings (3-2) travel to Brewton, AL for a double header with Myers University on Wednesday.
