In game one the Vikings were their own worst enemy making four errors and walking ten Tiger batters en-route to a 10-4 loss.
Matt Huonder had two hits in the game, Reid Arnold drove in three of the VCSU runs, and Cory Arnason pitched the final inning and a third without giving up a run.
Game two showed a different side of the Vikings as Andrew Herian, Grant Kragness, and Chauncey Calhoun allowed only one Tiger walk and the Vikes committed no errors. Herian earned his second win on the young season and Calhoun notched his third save in as many tries.
The Viking offense was sparked by Tony Forster, Tanner Bombenger, and Dusty Brend who combined for seven hits and four runs in the game.
