Valley CityšThe VCSU men’s basketball team travels to Jamestown Wednesday evening for DAC-10 play-off action. The #8 seeded Vikings and the #1 seeded Jimmies will tip-off at 7:30pm in the Jamestown Civic Center.

Wednesday’s game will mark the first time the VCSU men’s basketball team has qualified for the DAC-10 post-season tournament. The winner of the tournament advances to the NAIA II National Championships held in Branson, Missouri.

Jamestown College has already qualified for the National Tournament by winning the DAC-10 regular season title. The Jimmies steam rolled though the conference with a 17-1 record. They are ranked 8th in the latest NAIA II National poll on the strength of their 23-5 overall record.

First year coach Adam DeHaan has guided the Vikings to a 10-18 overall record (6-12 DAC-10). This is the second season since 1995 that VCSU has won 10 or more games. Picked tenth in the pre-season conference poll, the Vikings feel good about qualifying for the eight-team play-off. "The team has faced adversity at every turn. We have definitely earned a play-off bid and are excited about playing such a great rival," stated DeHaan.
