This weekend kicks off the Coaches vs Cancer campaign to raise awareness and funds for finding a cure for a disease that touches all of us in some way or another every year. The Vikings are on the road at Minot State Sunday, March 30 and the Suits & Sneakers as well as 'Tough Enough to Wear Pink' will begin.
The VCSU men's and women's basketball programs will once again participate in the fight to find a cure. On Friday, February 4th, the women's and men's basketball teams will wear t-shirts with the slogan 'SHOOT for the CURE' during warm-ups.
In addition, the VCSU Relay for Life team and Xtreme Printing along with the women's basketball team will be selling 'SHOOT for the CURE' t-shirts for $10 with all proceeds going to the fight against cancer and finding a cure. The t-shirts are not color specific to a certain cancer cause, but rather gray with cardinal as our VCSU Viking family does our part to raise awareness and money toward the fight.
T-shirts will be available February 1st and February 3rd from 11 am-2 pm in the student center, in McCarthy Hall with Bev McAllister until Friday at noon, as well as Friday, February 4th at the games.
