Welcome Weekend at VCSU!

It's hard to believe, but the fall 2014 semester is almost here, which means it's time to introduce our new students to campus! Welcome Weekend at VCSU is August 22-24, 2014. *All first-year students are required to attend Welcome Weekend activities.

Move-In Day is on Friday, August 22, and is when parents help their student get settled in the residence halls and take care of any unanswered questions. Residence halls open at 9:00 a.m. and campus offices will be open throughout the day. Students begin Learning-to-Live activities on Friday afternoon, while computer check out and training, and informational sessions about campus life are spread out over the entire weekend. Classes begin at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, August 25. If you have any questions about Welcome Weekend, feel free to contact Enrollment Services.

*If you missed our New Student Orientation sessions, contact Enrollment Services to sign up for Move-In Day Orientation*.

Rhoades Science Center

Rhoades Science Center underwent a massive $10.3 million renovation and expansion, which means that VCSU students will continue to learn and grow their education with the latest technologies in modern, efficient facilities. To the extent possible, the design and construction of the Rhoades addition and renovation followed standards set forth by the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED). Housed in the Rhoades Science Center are classrooms, laboratories and offices for the VCSU science and math departments, and offices and facilities for the university's information technology services. VCSU's collaborative nursing program with Dakota College at Bottineau is also housed in the building, as is The Great Plains STEM Education Center.
