Only two days remain open to sign up for the 2010 Summer Orientation and Registration program for new students and parents and they are: Friday, June 18 and Monday, June 28 (Friday, April 9th is now full).

An Afternoon session will be offered on June 18 with a morning session on June 28. New students and parents will receive information on student support services, housing, student activities, cost expectations, notebook computers, and opportunities for involvement. In addition, each student will meet with an academic advisor and register for fall semester classes.

Completing your class schedule at this time will help eliminate any concerns that you may have regarding what your daily schedule will be. Also, those who register early will benefit from the greatest flexibility in planning a schedule that will best meet their needs. Please be sure that all required documents are on file in the Enrollment Services office prior to your registration.

Now that 2010 is here, it is time to complete your "College To Do List". Take time out of your day, during these cold winter months and fill out your application. Our application is easy and at your fingertips. Just click the Apply Now button to fill out your VCSU application online.

Have you had your school send us your transcript? If not, just ask your guidance counselor to send your transcripts to Valley City State Univerity, they know our address. Sending us your transcript doesn't committ you to anything. It is just an easy way to check your GPA, test scores and core requirments. If you meet our qualifications we will mail you out a scholarship offer!

If you have applied and your scholarship offer has been accepted, you can still work on completing other things. Send in a copy of your MMR vaccination record (if you don't have it, contact your local city/county health department).

Last, but not least, fill out your dorm and meal plan form.

We are pleased to announce that VCSU will be starting an electronic Parent Newsletter that will provide parents of VCSU students with updates, news items, announcements and information from the campus. We plan to send news items by way of an occasional e-mail newsletter but will also use the mailing list for important announcements, deadlines and notifications. Parents can subscribe at anytime and unsubscribe at any time. VCSU will not in any way, share the e-mail list with any entity outside of the campus and the mailing list will not be used for any type of solicitation or commercial use.
