Transfer Admission
VCSU’s small class sizes, dedicated faculty, and countless academic and social opportunities, make us the ideal place for transfer students. We have friendly staff ready to help you make a smooth, seamless transition to VCSU.
If you’d like to know how your specific credits will transfer, please contact our Transfer Specialist to receive one-on-one communications about your academic standing.
Guidelines For Admission
Valley City State University applicants must have a minimum cumulative 2.00 GPA (4.00 scale) to be considered for admission.
Applicants are reviewed and considered on an individual basis. Submit all transcripts from previous institutions. Enrollment Services will review your transcripts and mail you a graduation audit showing how your previously earned credits have transferred to VCSU in your planned academic area.
If you have completed less than 24 transferrable credits, you must follow the freshman applicant guidelines as well.
Next, submit your application and supplemental materials to VCSU.
Application Materials
Once you meet the criteria for transfer applicants, it’s time to submit your application. A complete application includes:
- Your application for admission
- A non-refundable fee of $35
- Official transcripts of all previous academic work from each institution attended
- Verification of MMR immunization (2 doses) and meningitis immunization (1 dose after age 16) (On-Campus only)
