VCSU strives to maintain a healthy and professional environment for our students, visitors and other employees. It is each individuals' responsibility to maintain their workspace in a manner that reflects the Universities' views on cleanliness, professionalism and health and fire safety standards.

If you would like an evaluation done on your work area, please contact the Director of Facilities Services, Ron Pommerer at 701-845-7700.

It is your responsibility to maintain your assigned keys:

-Know which keys you have and to which locks.
-Only have keys to facilities you need to access.
-Never leave keys in a door lock.
-Don't loan keys out.
-Don't duplicate keys.
-Report key loss to Facilities Services immediately.
-Make sure that keys issued on a temporary basis are returned.
-Return keys you don't need or don't use.

Locking Doors and Windows:

-NEVER leave your office unlocked and unattended!
-Lock interior and exterior doors.
-Check all doors and windows when you leave

Securing Office/Classroom Equipment:

-Keep and inventory of your assigned equipment/property.
-Follow policies that are in place.
-Help when moving equipment to ensure security of property.
-Never dispose of property without following necessary procedures.

SAFETY MESSAGE REGARDING PERSONAL SPACE HEATERS:

Contact the Facilities Services Office (3-7705) to set-up an inspection time with Ron (if you are using a space heater that has not been inspected).
