Chris Argenziano is an active performer, educator, and professional mentor based in Fargo, ND. Versatile in a wide range of styles, he specializes in classical, jazz, country, rock, and acoustic guitar.
Argenziano maintains an active performing schedule as a solo classical guitarist and as a member of the jazz and classical duo Twelve Strings and the acoustic duo A Gentleman and A Scholar. His previous collaborations include The Gina Powers Band, Ben and the Beard, Soulpatch Adams, and The Ciro and Topher Show. In 2020, he released an EP with The Gina Powers Band titled Departure. Argenziano has performed in master classes with internationally renowned artists including Christopher Parkening, Michael Chapdelaine, Phillip Rukavina, Berta Rojas, and the Minneapolis Guitar Quartet.
A dedicated educator since 2008, Argenziano has taught students of all ages and ability levels in both private and university settings. He currently serves as Instructor of Guitar in the Department of Music at Valley City State University, where he teaches applied guitar and directs student ensembles. In addition to his university teaching, he is a Professional Mentor for Connect 4 Education, supporting students in online music courses. His instructional materials include the DVD Beginning Acoustic Guitar (2012).
A native of Reynolds, North Dakota, Argenziano began his formal studies in classical guitar under Michael Coates and later studied jazz and rock guitar with Tim Hoffelt, Michael Krajewski, and Steve Stine. He earned the Master of Music in Classical Guitar Performance from North Dakota State University in 2015.
