VCSU Named the Top Public Regional College in North Dakota
VALLEY CITY (VCSU) – Valley City State University (VCSU) has been ranked the top public regional college in North Dakota for the fourth consecutive year by U.S. News and World Report.
Widely considered the premiere college rankings, the 2025 U.S. News Best College Report was released Tuesday morning. This report ranks colleges annually in areas such as retention, graduation rates, outcomes, peer reviews, measures of student excellence, and the educational expenditure per student. VCSU has now been ranked as one of the top Best Colleges by U.S. News for 27 consecutive years.

Along with being the top public regional college in North Dakota, U.S. News ranked VCSU the No. 2 public regional college in the Midwest, which includes North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Nebraska, Missouri and Kansas.
