Viking Drive bridge closed

UPDATE: The Viking Drive bridge is now open. The flood wall on Viking Drive was removed on Oct. 30.

Due to potential flooding, Viking Drive in Valley City has been closed at the bridge over the Sheyenne River.

Viking Drive is the direct route from the main Valley City State University campus to the west section of campus that includes the W.E. Osmon Fieldhouse and the Gaukler Family Wellness Center.

Alternate routes using Riverview Drive or 4th Street SW are suggested for both pedestrian and vehicular traffic.

This closure, which began Oct. 17, is scheduled to run through Nov. 10.
