Enrolling at VCSU

Once you are admitted, take the next steps below to enroll at VCSU and officially become a Viking and take the first step toward a bright future.

Your Next Steps

Follow the steps below from top to bottom to become an official member of the Valley City State University Vikings! If you have questions or need assistance, please contact our admissions specialist at the bottom of the page.

The first step to becoming a member of campus is claiming your account. This refers to the account created for you within the North Dakota University System – which will enable you to access Campus Connection, Blackboard, and other platforms to complete necessary tasks such as paying tuition, registering for classes, and more.

First-year students are required to live on campus for their first year. VCSU has multiple clean, cozy, and conveniently-located dorms to choose from. Take a look through our housing options and see which dorm will fit your lifestyle. Be sure to submit your application to secure placement in a dorm.

VCSU offers one of the best, most generous scholarship programs in the state. To be sure you receive any aid available to you, including scholarships, you’ll need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Contact our Financial Aid office with any questions.

When you’re ready to become a Viking, be sure to complete your Intent to Enroll form – that’s what will tell us you’re serious about attending VCSU. We can’t wait to have you on campus!

After completing the steps above, you’re almost ready to come to campus! Sign up for a Student Orientation session to be welcomed to campus and get acquainted with other new students. Complete the form and select the date that works for you.
