Coronavirus Campus Communication

Email from VCSU Safety Office 5/18/20

May 18, 2020

Valley City State University is committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for all members of our community. We recognize that the threat from COVID-19 is not over, and continues to affect our community in different ways, including how, when, and where many of us are able to work.

Most university employees are currently working from home and should continue to do so until an official announcement is made by campus administration. VCSU is currently operating under certain guidelines, as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), North Dakota Department of Health (NDDoH), and the North Dakota University System (NDUS), which will hereafter be referred to as “VCSU COVID-19 Safe Operating Procedures”.

All university employees share responsibility for implementing the VCSU Safe COVID-19 Operating Procedures by following its requirements. The goal is to mitigate the potential for transmission of COVID-19 on the VCSU campus and in other university-leased or managed facilities, and that requires full cooperation among everyone—administration, supervisors, faculty and staff. Only through a cooperative effort can we maintain the safety and health of our VCSU community.

The most up-to-date version of these procedures will remain posted at the VCSU Coronavirus Information Page, as well as VCSU One Stop (content no longer available). These procedures will be reinforced through direct communication to campus leaders, and managers/supervisors.

Additional communication will be ongoing as circumstances surrounding the pandemic require.

Stay safe!
