About Grace’s spring internship:
I will be working alongside VCSU alumni, Emma Tufte, at City County Health to learn about and begin grant writing. A few different projects I’ll tackle include, evaluating technical writing and rewriting in plain language to share with the public (particularly for City County Health’s website and programming) as well as contributing to a huge grant writing project for the School of Nutrition.
Future plans after graduation:
After graduation, I hope to use my grant writing abilities and other special skills from VCSU to continue grant writing for non-profits in Billings, Montana.
How has your minor helped you?
My music minor has helped me grow especially in soft skills such as creative processing, public speaking, and performance. As well as building a work ethic to engage with topics which I had little to no prior knowledge.
What has been your favorite memory from VCSU?
Many of my favorite memories at VCSU I’m lucky to have experienced recurrently, such as playing in music practices and concerts, enjoying events put on by various VCSU organizations, and learning with (and often joking with) my faculty, staff, and peers.
