VCSU Welcomes Alumni, Friends and Family to Campus for Homecoming 2021

The Valley City State University Foundation and Alumni Association are welcoming Alumni back to campus for VCSU Homecoming the weekend of Oct. 1 and Oct. 2.

“We love seeing familiar faces and welcoming our Viking family back to campus,” Executive Director for Advancement Cory Anderson said. “It’s a great chance for our Alumni to catch up with old friends, and to see what is happening on campus and in the community.”

“There are many events planned for the weekend and we hope all of our alumni, community members, students, faculty and staff can attend,” Assistant Director for Advancement & Alumni Relations Kim Svenningsen Hesch said.

The Valley City State University Alumni Association is sponsoring multiple events listed below to celebrate Homecoming 2021.

The 39th Annual Bill Osmon Fun Run kicked off VCSU Homecoming week on Monday, Sept. 27.

Alumni are welcomed back with an ice cream social at 2:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 1, in the Student Center Lounge. Following the social, a Hall of Fame Social begins at 5 p.m., at the Valley City Eagles followed by the Banquet and Ceremony honoring inductees.

The Alumni Honors Breakfast begins at 8:30 a.m. in the Student Center. Tickets will be available at the door and cost $10. At 10:30 a.m., there will be a parade on Central Avenue. Viking Tailgating at Lokken Stadium begins at 12 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 2. The VCSU Football will take on Mayville State University with kickoff at 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 2 at Shelly Ellig Field. There will be a post-game All Alumni & Friends Social following the football game at the Valley City Eagles. After the social, there is a college student and alumni dance at the Valley City Eagles.
