Hands-On and Inquiry-Based Learning

The Technology Education online teacher program uses two types of learning: project and problem-based hands-on learning and inquiry-based-learning.  The design challenges in the curriculum require critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The program has licensed and certified teachers across the United States and supports the STEM fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. This program stresses important skills and knowledge of content, tools and processes that provide (not prepare) future Technology Education Teachers meaningful learning opportunities so they can get their students career or college ready.

Technology Education is a growing and high-demand field. The Technology Education Online Teacher Prep Program at VCSU models project and problem-based hands-on learning as well as inquiry-based learning.

Students complete design challenges that require critical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities. VCSU’s Online Technology Education Program has licensed and certified teachers across the United States.  The Technology Education program supports the STEM fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. This program stresses important skills and knowledge of content, tools and processes that prepare future Technology Education Teachers meaningful learning opportunities so they can get their students career or college ready.
