President's Column: Welcome new faculty
Greetings from Valley City State University!
The beginning of each new year is full of excitement and anticipation. Part of that excitement was in full display on the campus front lawn last week during our annual Marketplace event. This was a tremendous time for our students to learn about the wealth of campus and community organizations available to them. The atmosphere was festive, and the weather fully cooperated for an enjoyable evening.
The start of the new year also brings new faculty to our community. We’re very excited to welcome fourteen new faculty members this fall. Please join me in welcoming this highly qualified and outstanding group of educators to the campus and Valley City community. They’re excited to be here, and we look forward to them sharing their unique skills and experiences with students and colleagues alike. Some of them shared some personal tidbits that are included in the column here https://www.vcsu.edu/welcome-new-faculty/.
Viking Gold Card sales begin today
The Viking Football team will again be selling the Viking “Gold” Cards beginning Wednesday August 31. The blitz night, where all players will be out selling in the community, is scheduled for the evening of Wednesday, September 7.
Using the card pays for itself in short order. Cards offer multiple use discounts at different Valley City businesses. The card also has some single use purchases with over $50 in discounts.
These discount cards can be purchased from any football player for $25. If you would like a card and have not been contacted by a player – please contact Coach Alec Brown at alec.brown@vcsu.edu and he will have a player stop by to see you.
Thank you in advance for your consideration and patience as multiple players may ask if you are interested in purchasing.
